The publisher I think that would be perfect to publish my magazine would be Harris Publishing Inc because they’re an established publishing firm and are based in the capital of the world New York.
There are many other reasons why I would prefer Harris publishing Inc to publish my music magazine. Firstly, they mainly focus on comics, business and lifestyle but it would be beneficial for Harris publishing to publish my product is because my product is different to their typical products that they produce. My product is a music magazine and they don’t really publish theses, therefore this will bring something new and fresh to the business and will bring new customers in for them such as teenagers the live, breath and think of RnB, and they will have a new selling point and have a wider target audience in the market.
Secondly, my product will bring more money into the company and bring better finance to the business and Harris publishing can distribute my products internationally, nationally and locally normal shops, newsagents and any other shops willing to sell my product. This means Harris publishing Inc would have a vast mass market to aim at and would definitely make back the money that they used to publish my music magazine.
I would probably distribute my magazine into WHSmith; because they are a well known book store and have a range of customers, young and old. I would also like my magazine to be distributed into local shops because it is local and customers can easily get access to my magazine and not miss out on any new information in the music world and be up to date with the latest gossip and music. Also I would like my music magazine to be distributed into HMV because it is without a doubt one of the biggest music stores in the UK. Additionally Harris publishing Inc hay have institutes that deals with distribution so that may help my magazine to get distributed much more easily and in good retail stores.
