From the process of conducting my product I have learnt many new things about technology that has helped me with different aspects of my magazine. Firstly, throughout the process of conducting my magazine I had the privilege to control a great camera. The camera I used was a Cannon model, Cannon EO5 400D Digital. I used this camera to take all my images of my models; I altered the focus and angles of the camera to make my models look convincing and fit the role of Hip Hop artists. The images of my models were taken in one location to give the image a consistency look, which is shown by real magazines. The quality of the images all came down to the Cannon EO5 400D Digital and the set up of lighting and the positioning of my models, I also used a soft box which is a type of photographic lighting device which generates soft light which made the picture look smooth, surreal but with a touch of glamour. It also contrasted well with the flash of the camera and the background of the image.

Another technology that I had to use a lot during the process of conducting my magazine was Photoshop. Before I started my magazine my skills with Photoshop was very vague and limited but throughout the process I got better and a good understanding of the Photoshop software. I used a mixture of the Photoshop software’s, Photoshop CS6 and CS3, I done this because I found Photoshop CS6 to be more up to date and a much easier to change different areas of my magazine; I was able to change different fonts, crop images and change adjustment levels.
I also used different effect from the layer style tool, I used the stroke tool and the gradient overlay tool which helped me change the contrast of different writing texts and fonts; this made my cover lines and masthead stand out and is more eye catching which would appeal to the audience more because of the contrasting and uniqueness of my magazine texts. It was a fairly simple process, the stroke tool, but I had to choose the right combination of colours and effects which took a long time. I also used the healing tool to take away any spots, scars or anything that was not needed on my model.

I also found out that Photoshop was very useful when it came to saving my files as a JPEG document. This was helpful because Blogger does not accept files that are not JPEG files; this made it easy for me to upload my images on Blogger.
Overall i think that i have learnt and improved how to use these technological devices over the process of this project.
